3-Day Murchison Falls Wildlife & Nile Safari

After breakfast, drive off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an hour of on-foot rhino tracking one of the few places left in East Africa to see rhinos in the wild. From there, continue to Masindi for a lunch stop before transferring to Murchison Falls National Park. This is Uganda's largest national park, known for the thunderous rapids of the Nile at Murchison Falls and vast rolling plains home to lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffaloes, and elephants. Along the river, you'll also find a striking concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles. If time allows, cap off the day with a late afternoon or evening game drive.

After breakfast, set off for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda's largest national park, keeping an eye out for lions, leopards (though they can be elusive), and a rich variety of other wildlife a real treat for birders too, with numerous species along the way. Return to your accommodation for some rest and lunch, then head out in the afternoon for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and water birds along the river. Optional (extra $15): for those up for it, a hike to the top of the falls follows — strenuous, but the view from the summit makes it unforgettable. Afterward, return to your accommodation to relax.

After breakfast, drive to the top of the falls to take in the full power and beauty of Murchison Falls up close. From there, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, with drop-off at your booked hotel or directly at Entebbe Airport if you're flying out. Thank you for traveling with us.
